No — you also have the option to simply use a passenger list and manually swipe or click to check customers in, perform headcounts, and check them out. This method is ideal for smaller operations and shorter trips. RollCounter works anywhere — at sea or on shore. Check-ins, headcounts, and check-outs run smoothly without internet, and all data syncs automatically once you’re back online.
Rollcounter supports multiple devices being used at the same time, providing redundancy. You can one or more staff complete Check In, Head Count and Check Out and the date is sync across all devices without the need for an internet connection (Bluetooth need to turned on). This means a skipper can also have the app on there phone to monitor all of this and act as a backup device, or multiple deck hands will have a copy of all the data on their device providing redunancy.
While we recognise that Rollcounter won't be something every boat operator will want to use, there are a few key reasons why;
1. Count 1000 customers acturately in just minutes.
Each customer a reusable Rollcounter Wristband to each customer as they board to check them in. With this each Rollcounter wristband has a uniquely identifier (7 quadrillion combinations) than can be scanned from 0-2 metres away which can count 100 passengers a second. This means head counts to confirm passenger number can not only be done in a matter of minutes, you do even have to have them sitting still as NO passenger can be double counted. This can also assist with better customer service and over coming language barriers.
2. Are you passenger counts being done?
Be certain that passenger are being counted on, counted onboard and counted off. With a fully digital system, you can be certain when and where check in, head counts and check outs are being done. With GPS recording, if you require a head count before leaving a dive site, you will be notified if a head count is being done before departure.
